Wesley Intermediate School School Charter

We pride ourselves on the fact that a number of our students make accelerated progress, (more than two years progress within a ten month timeframe), and we have students appearing on honors boards at local secondary schools for academic excellence.

We are a PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) school and support our students and families based on Maslow’s theory of need pedagogy.

Wesley Intermediate School Māori Education Plan

Our 2018 target was to have 70% of our Maori students achieving at the expected level of the New Zealand Curriculum in Reading. When our current Year 8 cohort arrived in our school only 17% were working at the expected level.
